Sandfire Scientific Ltd. is a Pacific Northwest company that manufactures glassware for the laboratory, research, OEM, and technical community. From the beginning we have created opportunities for particular R & D focus that include such projects as vacuum shrinking quartz tubing onto a 0.010” diameter fiber optic rod, researching finishes on quartz tubing from our centerless grinder and machining a 3 foot diameter quartz tube for a fusion reactor. Through these and other unique and diverse projects, we continually strive to advance our technical abilities through innovation and response to our customers’ requirements. We provide customers with a full scientific glassblowing service that includes quartz fabrication, glass and quartz machining, and repair of special and standard laboratory glassware. We manufacture GC Liners, Quartz ICP Torches, NMR Dewars (Bruker & Varian), and OEM products for several large companies.
